Many thanks for all the work and planning you put into our family’s trip to Italy this summer. We had a fabulous time! The villa was outstanding – larger and more recently re-decorated than advertised. The cottage, for example, had one queen and two singles allowing us to sleep 4.  Because it was larger than we expected and because my sister’s family had to cancel, we squeezed everyone into the one villa and cottage for the 3 nights that everybody was there. Bernardo was helpful, the women serving breakfast every morning and cleaning every day were fabulous. The wheelchair was there as promised. The chef and server for the dinners at the villa were accommodating – even the first night when an additional 6 people showed up without warning an hour before dinner! …”

Gaetano was the perfect driver and guide for our trip along the Amalfi coast. Vincenzo’s tour of Pompeii was also incredible. We loved Florence and your restaurant recommendations were perfect. Our hotel in Rome(Albergo del Sole) was made more amazing by being able to walk out the front door and have the Pantheon staring us in the face. Guissy was an amazing guide and was just loaded with enthusiasm and information of all the historic and religious sites we visited. Hi Larry and Carlo,

I want to let you know that I loved everything about the trip other than the accident and the Calatrava bridge! The transfers all worked so well and the drivers were great!  We, and especially Rosanne, have a warm spot in our heart for Pietro.  The guides were all very good.   Our favorite was Guido. The hotel in Monterosso worked well for us. We loved Villa in Tuscany!  I did not notice that the bed was hard.  I did notice though that 3 of the 4 places we stayed had 2 twins put together to make the king size bed.  It didn’t bother us too much, and I’ve seen that before, but not quite as frequently. The Venice hotel was fine.  It had a sewer smell the first day, but that seemed to dissipate.  We had the best rooms in the hotel, I think, as we requested ones over the canal.  I also thought that to have to pay for internet was cheap.  It should just be built in to the cost of the room. The hotel in Rome was great.  As it turned out, it was not very accessible for handicapped people.  Rosanne had to go up the 8 or 10 stairs on her butt, to get to the elevator.  The rooms were the nicest of the trip.  All of the hotels had wonderful breakfasts!                           There were 2 changes that we made to the itinerary, but it didn’t appear to have been communicated to the involved parties.  One was the meeting time with Virginia in Rome.  She thought it was 9:30 and I had changed it to 10:00, and it took us 15 more minutes than expected to climb the stairs of the Duomo, so she almost left.  Thank goodness she didn’t and it worked just fine.   The other was the change in time for the winery tour, from morning to afternoon.  There again, we did end up getting a tour from a rookie, but he was fun and we enjoyed it! Tuscany was our favorite.  We all said we would go back to Casanova di Pescille and spend the whole time there! I am so pleased with everything though, and thank you soooooo much for all you did to make it a very memorable trip.  Helping us with getting the wheelchair and crutches was instrumental in making those last couple of days go smoothly, so Rosanne could enjoy it too. I would highly recommend your services to anyone going to Italy!!!!

Our first trip to Italy consisted of all the “must sees”.   Since this was to be our second trip to Italy, we knew we wanted a unique, custom made experience. We found Eco Italia on the internet. From the moment we reached out to them, they have been responsive, professional, efficient and a pleasure to work with. We wanted this trip to be non-touristy and interesting and that is what it was! We spent a day with a family who grow lemon trees and make olive oil, lemoncello and jams. We watched their friend make mozzerella from scratch and tasted the best homemade ricotta of our lives. We made pizza in a restaurant where we danced to Italian music with the owner. We had lunch at an organic cheese farm overlooking the rolling hills of Tuscany. We visited one of the last copper artisans who worked on the Vatican. All arrangements from amazing guides/drivers were done to our specific needs and wants. This was our first experience utilizing the services of Eco Italia. It certainly will not be our last!

“Hi Carlo, I wanted you to know that you planned the perfect trip and everything was flawless. All the hotels were just what we wanted. They were all delightfully small, friendly and quiet. Every guide, driver and transfer persons were on time and very helpful–we were so grateful to get off the plane or the trains and see a friendly face holding a card with our name on it. Our special favorites were Daniel in Florence,he thoughtfully brought a his car, bought train tickets for us, went biking with us and actually sprinted to Pisa ticket booth to insure Amanda’s place in line. And Marco in Amalfi took such good care of us and was a such a careful driver that I actually relaxed on those switch-back roads. Our favorite hotel if we had to pick one was on the isle of Capri, mostly because the 2 ladies there were so nice and friendly. We needed that day off in Amalfi–should have planned 2 days off. Guido in Venice, Pina in Pompeii, Valentina in Pompeii and Giusy in Rome were amazing with their knowledge and consideration of our wishes.”

Just getting back to you after our trip. Everything went very well. No glitches or problems along the way. All reservations were in place and there were no surprises. The guides were very good and we enjoyed the hotels. The hotel in Rome was particularly nice and the entire staff treated us extremely well. The only thing I have a hard time with is the tiny elevator but that is my problem because I am a bit claustrophobic. Thanks for everything. We really enjoy being in Italy.
