Since 1999, Eco Italia has provided tour planning services to discerning clients wishing to vacation in Italy, developing a wide network of service providers with the same passion for and desire to share their knowledge and understanding of their country. Native Italian, Carlo Odevaine established Eco Italia in the U.S. for the sole purpose of offering unique itineraries and reliable travel services in Italy which provide greater flexibility and a much richer experience for his customers.
While still in Italy, Carlo earned advanced degrees in Agronomics and Economics and worked as a consultant for many farms throughout Italy, enabling him to experience first hand the typical lifestyle in the countryside, but also to learn the rich culture and tradition of wine, olive oil and other typical Italian produce. Then in the mid 1990’s he relocated to the beautiful mountain town of Missoula, Mt. where he began teaching Italian language and culture to the local residents, professors and students of the University of Montana. At the request of his students, he started organizing and leading tours to explore and share the historical highlights and local culture with them as well as their friends and family. And thus was born, Eco Italia (Echoes of Italy), a company designing private custom tours to Italy.
We also keep current with all of our providers by travelling frequently to Italy and consulting with our guides on new exciting and interesting opportunities, checking existing accommodations and maintaining a high level of quality for our customers.
